A TODA MECHA 2010
The fith edition of A TODA MECHA is about to start. We are glad to introduce the directors who will turn this edition into a competition itself. Thursday 29th, first thing in the morning, the gruops will collect the recording equipment in Casa da Xuventude, and Saturday 31st at 17.00 pm, the showing of these projects will take place inside the Cinema of Ribadeo.
In this edition of 2010, eleven short films will be shot along the three days that conform the festival.
INNOCENCE (Inocencia) – Álvaro Liste
Rulfo is obsessed with a beautiful woman who goes jogging around the same place every day. Every evening, sat on the same bench, he tries to attract her attention with no result. One day, Chacho a friend of him, gives him advise about what to do.
PINTANDO O SILENCIO (painting the silence)– Ana Diz e Andrea Táboas
A boy with a wide unknown world ahead, portraits the environment taking his own elements of reality.
A PORTA (The door) – Andrés Goteira
A middle-age guy sleeps in a deep stillness in a house nearby Ribadeo. Some strong slams break his peace, demanding help because of a car accident. However, the injured is closed than he thinks.
SALVAVIDAS (Lifeguard)– Benito Eiroá
Manuel lives overwhelmed with his partner, who will be every minute watching his movements. Being fed of the situation, he decides to go to the beach with such an special company, his own lifeguard.
CONTEMPLANDO LA CREACIÓN (Staring at creation)– David G. Rubianes
This is a reflection about the creation of God: the whole world around, the other individuals, our job in the world as human beings and what we contribute in life and learn from it… or not.
AS MOIRAS (The ‘Moiras’) – Iago Prada
Three women very different from each other, represent the greek myth of the Moiras. They personify the three sides of life: birth, life and death. These three women weave the life and destiny of every single person.
MORIR (Death)– Sergio Suchodolsky
Marcos has a life full of excesses, sorrounded by whiskey bottles and cigarrettes. However, a relatioship in an oniric atmosphere with a woman in the beach, wil give him his last bearth.
O PEREGRINO (The pilgrim) – Marcos García
A reporter and a camera man are making an item in Ribadeo. Their intention is to interview some pilgrims. The last person they find is an unusual traveler who has a very surprising story to tell.
DESPIERTA (Wake up) – Pablo Portero
A sleepwalker guy mixes his reality with dreams, in the spectacular environment of Praia das Caterdrais in Ribadeo. His exeriences are taken very intensively in an oniric way, as he prefers living the dream rather than reality.
FÓRA DA HABITACIÓN (Out of the room) – Gonzalo Enrique
A guy shows some different enclaves of Ribadeo to his girlfriend, who discovers where he lived and how he lived his childhood. At night, they decide to hang out with the old friends of the town, but things doesn’t turn out as they thought.
O GRAN GOLPE: HISTORIA DUN SOÑO FEITO REALIDADE (The big stroke: The story of a dream came true) – Suso López
This is a documentary about the ‘billarda’, from the view of something bigger than a sport’s event. It shows the way in which any sport is able to bring people closer, encourages friendship and the exchange of impressions and experiences. All at the time as this cultural and sports heritage is mantained alive.
